Self-Assessment Process for Telangana Municipalities
For properties located in municipal areas of Telangana, the self-assessment process can be completed through the official portal: with the below steps
- Mobile OTP Validation
- Visit the CDMA portal page cdma.cgg.gov.in/CDMA_PT/SelfAssessment and enter your mobile number.
- Validate it using the OTP sent to your phone to access the self-assessment application form.
- Filling Property Details
- Provide accurate property details, including measurements, usage type (residential or commercial), and location.
- Upload required documents such as:
- Registered sale deed or court decree
- Building permission copy and plan (if applicable)
- Front and side photographs of the building
- Occupancy certificate (optional)
- Generate Tax Calculation
- The system calculates the half-yearly tax based on property details provided. The calculated amount will be displayed on the screen.
- Pay Online
- Pay the self-assessed tax amount online via internet banking, debit/credit card, UPI, or QR code.
- Verification by Municipality
- The municipality will verify your application within 15 days, as per Section 94(2) of the Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019.
- SMS Notification and Certificate Download
- After verification, an SMS will be sent to you with a link to download your self-assessment certificate or notice.
- Future Tax Payments
- Use your assessment number (PTIN) for future yearly tax payments through MeeSeva centers, CSC counters, Citizen Buddy Mobile App, or Telangana online tax payment platforms.
GHMC Property Self-Assessment Process
For properties under GHMC jurisdiction, the self-assessment process can be completed in online as below
- Accessing the Portal
- Visit the GHMC self-assessment portal sa.ghmc.gov.in and navigate to the “Self Assessment Form” section.
- Fill Property Details
- Enter accurate property details such as plinth area, usage type, locality, and ownership information.
- Upload supporting documents like sale deeds, building plans, and photographs.
- Calculate the Tax
- The system calculates your property tax based on GHMC guidelines and displays the payable amount.
- Submit the Payment
- Pay the calculated tax amount online via net banking or other available payment modes.
- Verification by GHMC Officials
- GHMC officials will review your application and may conduct a physical inspection if required.
- Confirmation and Certificate Download
- Once verified, you will receive an SMS notification to download your assessment certificate from the portal.
