For properties under GHMC jurisdiction, the property tax self assessment process can be completed in online as below

  1. Visit the GHMC self assessment portal sa.ghmc.gov.in and navigate to the “Self Assessment Form” section.
  2. Enter Your Mobile Number and Clcik Send OTP
  3. Validate OTP and proceed
  4. Select SRO > Registration Document Number > Document Date
  5. Enter accurate property details such as plinth area, usage type, locality, and ownership information.
  6. Upload supporting documents like sale deeds, building plans, and photographs.
  7. Select the acceptance for declarations and Click Submit
  8. The system calculates your property tax based on GHMC guidelines and displays the payable amount.
  9. Pay the calculated self assessment tax amount online via net banking or other available payment modes.
  10. GHMC officials will review your application and may conduct a physical inspection if required.
  11. Once verified, you will receive an SMS notification to download your assessment certificate from the portal.

Self-Assessment of Property Tax Telangana Municipalities

For properties located in municipal areas of Telangana, the self assessment process can be completed through the official portal: with the below steps

  1. Visit the CDMA portal page cdma.cgg.gov.in/CDMA_PT/SelfAssessment and enter your mobile number.
  2. Validate it using the OTP sent to your phone to access the self-assessment application form.
  3. Fill Property Details
    • Provide accurate property details, including measurements, usage type (residential or commercial), and location.
    • Upload required documents such as:
      • Registered sale deed or court decree
      • Building permission copy and plan (if applicable)
      • Front and side photographs of the building
      • Occupancy certificate (optional)
  4. The system calculates the half-yearly tax based on property details provided. The calculated amount will be displayed on the screen.
  5. Pay the self-assessed tax amount online via internet banking, debit/credit card, UPI, or QR code.
  6. The municipality will verify your application within 15 days, as per Section 94(2) of the Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019.
  7. After verification, an SMS will be sent to you with a link to download your self-assessment certificate or notice.
  8. Use your assessment number (PTIN) for future yearly tax payments through MeeSeva centers, CSC counters, Citizen Buddy Mobile App, or Telangana online tax payment platforms.

  1. Browse the page cdma.cgg.gov.in/CDMA_PT/SelfAssessment/ApplicationStatus
  2. Enter your application number
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions
  4. Find the status of Self Assessment Application.
